I believe in my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.
I believe in my faith, which gives me my foundation to try to face every day with strength.
I believe that families can be forever and I try to savor &embrace my roles as a wife &mother every day.
I believe in simplifying life &having a peaceful home that is a safe haven from the world.
I believe in being passionate about life and taking advantage of every chance to lift, learn, &love.
I enjoy writing. I blog every little family adventure and thing I want to remember about motherhood. (Unfortunately, I know I can't rely on my memory!) It is therapeutic for me to write and share the things life is teaching me. I want nothing more than to be a loving, strong mother who finds her strength in the Lord. I hope my children and children's children will read my thoughts and draw from it inspiration.
Also, my son has Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EE or EoE) and is (currently) allergic to wheat, eggs, soy, dairy, peas, barley, beef, potatoes, corn, lentils, nuts, and mustard. I am learning a lot about cooking and preparing meals without these "staples," which has really caused me to evaluate our food choices and recognize the value of eating real, healthy food more and more. I would love nothing more than to eat nothing but food we grew in our garden and can ourselves... someday!
I love to learn and am trying to do all I can to arm myself with knowledge and skills to provide for my family no matter what the circumstances. My church encourages this and after living through a tornado, I truly see why it is so important.
I have sooooo far to go it's insane, like, we don't even have a garden right now. But I want to get there, and I want to blog about it!
"Life is not about finding yourself.
Life is about creating yourself."
